About us
Founded by Belinda Scott and Alison Dex in 2017 and initially set up as a small group on Facebook, BellaVelo is now the largest women-only road cycling club in SW London, with 290 club members as at 1st January 2022. Our Facebook community has more than 1,300 members. But BellaVelo is more than just a club – it is a community of like-minded women who support each other both on and off their bikes.
Our mission is to help our members share their love and knowledge about all things cycling so, if you’re training for an event, seeking to improve, looking for organised rides and away days, or simply want to meet like-minded cyclists, then we just might be the club for you.

WELFARE
We are an inclusive and supportive club and welcome anyone who identifies as a woman or a non-binary rider. In line with British Cycling policy, we have a dedicated Welfare Officer who can be contacted with any questions, comments, or concerns.
HOW WE RUN THE CLUB

- Chair(s)
- Secretary

- Ride Vice Captain

DIVERSITY
BellaVelo CC is a Women’s cycling club which aspires to be inclusive, diverse and welcoming.
All women are welcome whatever their background and we are exceptionally proud of our reputation as a friendly and approachable club. We recognise that there is a lack of diversity in women’s cycling and as such we actively aim to encourage more women to cycle irrespective of their background.
Our aspiration is that BellaVelo’s membership will reflect the communities that it serves and we encourage all women to join us irrespective of ethnicity, gender identity, race, religious belief or sexuality. We are committed to actively supporting those with a disability to participate wherever possible.
If you're already a member of BellaVelo CC and want to contribute to our diversity and inclusion work, or ask a question or share an idea, please contact our Diversity Officer Cat Dixon on TeamApp.
If you're not a member but want to get in touch about our approach to diversity and inclusion, please email us
