Our RESPONSIBILITY

It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the welfare of all within the sport and within our club. The BellaVelo Welfare Officer is responsible for ensuring that welfare concerns are met and provides the main contact with   British Cycling on these issues as and when required. We require our members and volunteers to abide by   British Cycling’s    Welfare Policy and procedures and associated Codes of Conduct.

BellaVelo Statement

BellaVelo believes that everyone involved in the club should be made to feel welcome and included. Members should thrive, fare well and enjoy safety, security and protection from abuse – covert or overt - maltreatment or misconduct during participation in the club and all activities it runs.   Everyone involved in the club is responsible for upholding this core belief and should encourage and foster supportive behaviour in themselves and others.  The club recognises    it has a responsibility to ensure the highest standard of care to all.
As a British Cycling affiliated club, BellaVelo is bound by British Cycling’s safeguarding and welfare policies. BellaVelo has formally adopted the British Cycling  Safeguarding and Protecting Vulnerable Adults     policies and principles of good practice, and follows   British Cycling’s Guidelines for Best Practice.
